I forgot my yahoo password. I tried changing my password but it only give me the option to send the link to change my password to my alternate email. I dont remember my alternate email. I do remember the answers to my security questions but once again, it doesnt let me. What do i do? Btw, im using my old email to ask this question. I really want my main email back.

You Wager not having problems with your yahoo mail if you do use the reset link that yahoo sent to your alternate email address. use it all it will do is make your account work .

The video contained in the following article shows you how to recover your password using a mobile phone number, an alternate email address, or by answering your security questions

If you do not have a non-Yahoo! alternate email address, valid mobile number, or cannot verify your security questions you will need to contact Yahoo Customer Care, either by phone, Twitter, or Facebook.

In the US Call 1-800-318-0612
International users Call 1-408-916-2100

Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/YahooCustomerCare

If you're able to recover your account here's some guidelines for creating a secure, strong password - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN3012&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1372466487751&locale=en_US&y=PROD_MAIL_ML

Once you're able to change your password it would be a good idea to review your security questions and make changes if you don't remember your answers.

I recommend using a password manager like Keepass or LastPass to create and store strong unique passwords for the sites you visit. You can also save notes like your secret questions and answers to the password entries. LastPass can automatically log you in to any web site you have stored in its database.
