All incoming packages from overseas have to be cleared through customs before they can be delivered in the US. Typically it takes a day or two for customs, then two or three days for domestic delivery.

Whenever you are importing goods from a foreign country, it has to be 'cleared' buy a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent to make sure that contraband goods are not crossing U.S. borders. As long as it is a legitimate product (i.e. not guns or drugs) and has the proper paperwork it should be fine. Since you are importing a phone, it should clear customs within a week or sooner. If after ten days you still have not seen it, you may want to use the Tracking ID given to you from the shipper and contact a customs broker to make sure the package has all the necessary paperwork and documents to comply with customs regulations.

Inbound into customs means it's in customs. You may have to pay customs and duty fees
